About
R2Cares Emerging Leaders Prospect Game The R2Cares Emerging Leaders Prospect Game is more than a showcase — it’s a community movement that bridges athletic performance, personal growth, and leadership development. This free event highlights the next generation of baseball talent while promoting mentorship, community service, and emotional wellness. Each year, a select group of student-athletes are chosen by professional scouts and coaches who recognize more than talent — they see leadership, character, and integrity. Participants are invited into a weekend experience that goes far beyond baseball, building brotherhood, self-awareness, and purpose. At R2Cares, we believe youth need more than a platform — they need a purpose. The Emerging Leaders Prospect Game helps athletes grow not only in skill but in confidence, compassion, and character. It connects them with mentors, coaches, and community leaders who teach resilience, responsibility, and respect — equipping them to thrive on and off the field. This experience builds a community where athletes give back, families come together, and young leaders learn that greatness isn’t defined by statistics, but by service and heart. We do it because someone once believed in us — and now it’s our turn to believe in them. Weekend Highlights: Friday Night Leadership & Jersey Presentation – Held at the Magnolia Building in Lakeland, featuring a panel of professional coaches, athletes, and community leaders discussing mindset, discipline, and overcoming adversity. Saturday Development Camp & Community Giveback – Hosted at Lake Region High School, including elite instruction, mentorship, and a turkey drive supporting local families. The Prospect Game – Managed by current and former professional coaches, showcasing the region’s top baseball talent in a competitive yet uplifting environment that celebrates growth, teamwork, and leadership.
